PLANTING SEEDS TO HELPING CHAPTERS BLOOM
The MBC Board of Directors and Staff are very excited to welcome all delegates from across the country to the beautiful Pinestone Resort in Haliburton, Ontario for what promises to be a fabulous educational and fun-filled weekend.
The theme for this year’s retreat “Planting Seeds to Help Chapters BLOOM” will give Chapter volunteers new tools to help them support their Chapter families. This will be a great weekend for experienced and new volunteers alike, allowing attendees to have a chance to network and share support strategies. In addition, we are excited to announce Kate Robson as our Keynote Speaker. Kate is an expert in peer support with a background in adult education and community mediation, and will present two workshops over the weekend providing skills to volunteers about how to handle sensitive issues facing their members, such as prematurity, loss or postpartum depression, and how to best approach conversations with families if they reach out for support. These are life-long skills that volunteers will be able to use to not only support their families, but also apply in many different aspects of their own lives. The Board will also lead several different workshops, team-building exercises, and provide chapter exchange opportunities to help improve the services and supports your chapter provides.
The Retreat fee is $225 (early bird registration deadline June 30, 2017). Registration received after June 30th is $250. This includes all of your meals, retreat speakers and workshops and activities. When booking your rooms, please let the resort know that you are part of Multiple Births Canada to get these great rates.
