Special Needs Support Network

Val s kids

The Special Needs Support Network is for families where a multiple or sibling has a special need or exceptionality. Special needs include any physical or developmental disability that puts additional stress on the family. It also includes the challenges of raising a gifted child.

The Special Needs Support Network and support publications can help assist with:

  • maintaining the multiple relationship when only one has a special need
  • coping with differing levels of development
  • effects on siblings and the family
  • where to get help/support
  • tips on how to make each child feel special
  • recommended reference materials, reading list and organizations
  • monthly e-newsletters All Children Are Special
  • quarterly newsletter in Multiple Moments magazine

You are not alone; we're here to help. To join the Special Needs Support Network, contact the Support Chair person by e-mail support@multiplebirthscanada.org.

Do you use Facebook?  Join the private "closed" Facebook group, MBC-Special Needs Support Network to connect with other multiple-birth families where one or more multiples or siblings have a special need or exceptionality. http://www.facebook.com/groups/MBCspecialneeds/  You do not have to be a member of MBC to join this group.
